Bond3D Announces the Appointment of Kevin McAlea as New Board Member

Kevin McAlea, former EVP & COO Healthcare at 3D Systems Corporation brings significant leadership experience in the additive manufacturing sector with a main focus on medical applications.

Enschede, December 7th, 2022 – Bond3D announced today that Gerald Holtvluwer (CEO and investor at Bond3D) appointed Kevin McAlea as a board member at Bond3D.

Kevin McAlea is an experienced business manager in the 3D printing industry with expertise in sales, marketing, business development, product management, and financial management. His technical experience covers the full process from rapid prototyping to manufacturing of high-performance plastics and composites combined with his education in Chemical Engineering.

Bond3D have made significant progress in maturing their technology to print high strength PEEK parts with comparable properties to PEEK components that are injection moulded or machined. Bond3D leads the advent of the fourth generation of 3D printed porous PEEK polymer spinal cages which combines the advantages of all previous generations.

Kevin received a BS degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He has held the position of EVP & COO at 3D Systems Corporation Healthcare Business Units.
