The Business Development Manager is responsible for the business development strategy and results within a fast-growing organization.

Introduction

Responsible for the business development strategy and results within a fast-growing organization. Determines the short and long term objectives, strategies and tactics in line with business objectives. Managing all sales activities, including planning, forecast and sales development. Manages the sales of the products and initiates complex development projects. Reports to the Manager Sales & Business Development.

What are you going to do?

  • Defining the sales strategy and sales forecast for the short and long term in collaboration with Manager Sales & Business Development;
  • Analyse different markets and identify sales opportunities;
  • Responsible for successfully identifying the needs of customers and fitting them into the general business plan and strategy of the company;
  • Further development of the product position and pricing strategies to enable growth;
  • Generate new business opportunities in different markets;
  • Manage existing contacts for maximum customer satisfaction and potential expansion of (new) projects with a strong follow-up;

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a Bachelor or Master in a technical or economical degree;
  • Minimal five years of relevant international business-to-business work experience;
  • Experienced in the semi-conductor & energy industry; thorough knowledge of semiconductor & energy technologies, designs and processes or experienced in the 3D printing market;
  • Experience in automotive, medical, additive manufacturing or high performance polymers is an advantage;
  • Able to understand and deliver complex concepts and solutions to demanding customers;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Open to receive support and guidance from multidisciplinary teams to achieve the goals;
  • Regular on-site customer visits at home and abroad (around 25-35% traveling);
  • Hands-on and inspiring team player mentality;
  • Dutch and English language fluent in spoken and written, German is an advantage;
  • Be result driven and able to transfer this to the team;
  • Creative, proactive, strong in communication and likes to work together with different disciplines in short lines.
